Special Appeal - Typhoon Food Relief
November 16, 2013
We have volunteers... NOW, we need food!
We are working with two exceptional groups that have people on-the-ground providing emergency food directly to victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.
We are collecting donations through our networks and sending them 100% -- in addition to the $2,000 we already sent when the emergency first broke

We are splitting the funds between the vegan groups Food For Life and Food Not Bombs
. Each have different people in different areas.
We make it easy to donate through us. If you prefer to donate directly to them, just click their links. They both have PayPal if you need it.
Food For Life has more details on their emergency web page
Food Not Bombs does not have a web page dedicated for the typhoon yet, but we have a long-standing partnership with them including direct participation with food shares in Ethiopia and for Super Storm Sandy
Keith McHenry, co-founder of Food Not Bombs, wrote me:
"Hi Dawn, can you help our efforts in the Philippines any amount would be so helpful. The community in Manila is flooded and they are trying to not only feed people but also build a foot bridge so people can get out of their homes. Thanks so much."
In his follow-up yesterday, Keith reported:
"We can still get food in Cebu which was not hit as bad as the surrounding area. We are also helping in Manila where the people we have been providing food have been flooded out."
You can also help by sharing our recent post on Facebook and Twitter.
Thank you for anything you can do to help.
