The Greatest Bowie Knife...
and it's the first made, ultra rare, Crocodile Knife.

Hope this newsletter finds everyone safe and secure. It is so odd not to have a Blade Show this time of the year. I have not missed Blade Show since 1985. I was 22 years old and now I will be 60 in 3 years. That just shows you the speed of time. I remember when Loveless was 57.

The Virus is still to scary for me at this point. I don’t want to risk my life by being in the same room with 6,000 other people, so I cancelled for August. I might as well just walk on a cruise boat as attend the Blade Show. We are all going to be breathing the same stale air. Hard call for sure.

This is the greatest Bowie knife to ever leave the Loveless shop. There were only 2 made in 1989. This was when the Crocodile Dundee movies were really hot. Loveless thought he would make is called “now that’s a knife”. Thus, we have the Crocodile knife. This is the very first one made. The bowie was made for his good friend and early landlord, Dr. Dixon. If you remember it was Dr. Dixon for which the Dixon fighter was named. Not many of us have had a Loveless knife named after us.

The blade is a massive 10 1/2” and the handle is half a foot, sounds bigger that way. Plus this was made when he did the solder joints and the two tone pins before going to all stainless. I like the location of the logo, and I love the almost 6 inch blood groove, on both sides. The other one is still in my collection it is Green micarta, two tone pins and engraved on the bolster a scene of the Crocodile done in the way the Aboriginal people use to depict the reptile. This was done by Dan Wilkerson, and solid gold was shaded to give it really a nice flow.

But this is the one I have for sale. The first one made and it has 1 marked under the knife. Loveless was very proud of this knife, the balance and look were something he really thought about.

Price is $59,000 U.S. Dollars

Shipping is always overnight free FedEx

This rare beauty was featured in a full two page spread in my book on pages 96 and 97. Below are a couple of examples taken out of the book. These are polaroids that Bob took and wrote captions on the bottom of the photos.

Thank you!

Best Always,
