High Caliber Vintage Loveless Beyond Expectations.

Take a peek into what we're bringing to the Blade Show this year! You know you can only find these quality Loveless at the Denton table.

I’ve decided to bring with me some incomparable rare, seldom seen knives out of the Al Williams book “Living On The Edge” to the 2017 Blade Show.  The book itself has become rare. It’s price has risen  anywhere from $500 to $1,100.  We bought 1,200 of these books many years ago when Jim Weyer was selling them. We paid $5 each, and gave them out like post cards. Now I don’t have any left to sell. My own copies are signed by Loveless, Williams, Jim Weyer, and Al’s buddy Paul. So, you see, I’m not selling those.

(Right) “Living On The Edge” by Al Williams is out of print and considered to be the go-to book for true classic Bob Loveless Knives.  This book was based on Al's collection, which we eventually purchased.
Only set in existance. The handsome integral one of a kind Knife and Fork set in Black Micarta with a unique snap sheath.

Bob made them flat on one side so they would stay put on the table.
One of the sets I have with me this year is the handsome integral one of a kind Knife and Fork set in Black Micarta with a unique snap sheath. This set can be found on page 90 in the middle.  Only Bob would think to make these rare sophisticated gems flat on one side to keep them from rolling around on your table.

Al Williams stated in the book that 1979 was the year they were made. The leather pouch is stamped with the logo they used in Lawndale, when it only says R.W. Loveless Maker. My good friend Steve Johnson said “In 1974, Loveless and I moved to Riverside, we still used the leather logo stamp for a few months.” This leads me to conclude it was 1974. I am certain that Loveless would not have gone back and used an old stamp. He liked to keep things neat.

Al goes on to say this is the only Knife and Fork he has ever seen or heard of. I have never seen another set either.

From the same page I will be bringing the top two knives. These are decidedly intriguing because is for the left hand, and one for the right. Both handle material made from that delicious vintage stag and are integral knives. One of these even have a serrated blade. Once again, genius Bob kept one side flat to keep them from rocking around the table.  Notice that the logo is on the blade of one, and the other has the logo on the guard. I measured the bolster on the knife and fork set, these are longer than the stag handle knives.

(Above) One of the two were serrated on the blade. One knife was designed for left handed, the other for right handed.

Hard to believe the blade show is 4 weeks away. Seems like I just go unpacked from last year. I will have these 4 with me for sale, as well as a few other goodies. So Please stop by the table to chat and look at some great Loveless knives.

Can’t wait to see everyone. If you know of any great Vintage Loveless knives for sell let me know.
Thank you for reading,
