February? Already?

Between the kids going back to school, putting away all the Christmas decorations, and snow days, I'm not sure where January went. Things have been busy at the studio. I've got websites in the works. We've painted dogs, cats, and cardinals. And I'm experimenting with some new paper with my colored pencils. I also delivered some cute ornaments and penny tile charms to the Visitors Center for the #iHeartHSV campaign. These will be available at the CVB for purchase starting February 2nd.

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

Yes, February 14th is just around the corner. Are you looking for something unique for your special Valentine? I've got lots of cute love inspired penny tile charms and a few hand-drawn wooden pendants available. Contact me this week, and I can customize a penny tile charm with your initials. Giclée prints or original art also makes a fantastic gift.

On the Drawing Board

This is a new train piece I'm working on. I started the drawing over Fall break, and I'm finally getting back to it. The photo reference was taken in Chattanooga at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.
I'm experimenting with a different paper on this piece, Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper. It is amazing how different papers change how the colored pencils work. I think this paper would be fantastic for fur!
