MTJ Presents Flared Entry Paper at 2015 TRB Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Mark Johnson, PE, will present on his paper, “Synthesis of Roundabout Design and Operations with Flared Entries,” at the 2015 TRB Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. The session, “Design and Modal Considerations for Roundabout Capacity,” will be on Tuesday, January 13th, 3:45-5:30 pm, in the Convention Center, Room 101.

FHWA Roundabout Training in December Issue of "City & Town"
The training Mark Johnson provided with the FHWA to the Arkansas DOT and other agencies was featured in the December issue of "City & Town." The two-day training entitled, "Modern Roundabouts: A Design & Case Study Workshop," took place in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was part of the FHWA's Every Day Counts 2 program.

MTJ Provides Roundabout Design & Analysis Training
Mark Johnson will provide Roundabout Design and Analysis training to engineers in Ottawa, Canada, for the Educational Program Innovations Center (EPIC).  The two-day training course, "Roundabout Planning, Design and Implementation," will take place February 12-13, 2015.


MTJ to Present Papers at 2015 International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design (ISHGD)
Mark Johnson will present two papers at the 5th ISHGD in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, June 22-24, 2015. The papers are:

  • "Roundabout Design Optimization For Safety and Operations" - by Mark T. Johnson, PE
  • "A Case for Geometrically-Based Roundabout Capacity Equation Modeling" - by Mark T. Johnson, PE, and David K. Hale, Ph.D.
