Back on the Road and Haydee's Father

Hi <<First Name>>
If you had a chance to read our last newsletter you know that Haydee's father (Felix) was hospitalized, bedridden, moved in with us, and was not expected to live long . Well he is still beating the odds and is still with us, but there has been some changes. More of that later.
 I (Dustin) will be traveling to General Santos to teach at the Church Planting Institute. Also, as a family we will be visiting Hong Kong later on in the month.

Haydee's brother Bong is a seaman. Last October 30 he came back from his deployment and on the next day we brought Felix to his house to live out his remaining days.
It is clear that Felix feels at home there. Before he was hospitalized he live with Bong and his family. And with his move back he is much more at peace and at home.
Felix's health is still deteriorating. His meals are down to only 2 to 3 teaspoons and he struggles drinking water. Even though the doctor gave him only 1 month to live and he is almost 5 months and counting we know that any day now he could pass away.
We are very grateful for Bong and his family to take on the needs of Felix. The last 4 plus months has been both physically and emotionally exhausting for us and we are in need of a break. We are grateful for God's grace and strength for these past few months. We are also grateful for the time we were able to touch and serve Felix. 
Please continue to pray for Felix during his remaining days. Please pray for Bong and his family as they are the primary caregivers now.
 

General Santos and Hong Kong
For the past 4 months I (Dustin) have canceled all of my travel to stay home and help take care of Felix. Since Felix is now living with Bong it is time to go back and teach.

I have been invited to teach in the Church Planting Institute (CPI) on Relationships In General Santos. These are people being trained to pioneer new churches in teams. Even though I will not be teaching on pioneering churches, I will be teaching on a topic everybody needs to deal with and that is relationships. It will be about 20 hours of teaching and I am looking forward to get back to teaching.
When I get back from General Santos our family we will be traveling to Hong Kong!  As a family, we have done a lot of travel, but this is the first trip we are taking for a vacation purposes only. It will only be 4 days. We are hoping the weather will be nice and we can spend one of those days in Disneyland.
