WMAC Updates
We're recruiting for board and committee members
We are actively recruiting for our Secretary/Treasurer, Fundraising & Outreach Chair, and Membership Chair positions, and our Board Chair and Marketing & Communications Chair positions will be opening up later this summer. We also welcome committee members to assist in whatever way they can. Descriptions for each board position can be found on our website.

WMAC is a great way to expand your service experience and learn new skills. Joining a non-profit board can also enhance your resume and make you stand out to employers in the future. Please help us spread the word!

Resource of the Month:
Employers of National Service
Employers of National Service
CNCS has partnered with more than 600 organizations to create a database for Employers of National Service, which includes employers in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. This gives AmeriCorps alumni a distinct advantage when pursuing new opportunities after their service term ends.

Wellness Tips
when you're stuck at home
  • Many fitness apps, such as WorkoutforWomen, have free exercise guides that can be done at home, with or without exercise equipment.
  • YouTube is another way to find free exercise routines and can be especially helpful for yoga, mindfulness, and guided meditation.
  • Remember to get up and stretch throughout long sedentary periods, and give your eyes a break from screens.
  • Get some fresh air - take a walk in a local park or natural area.
  • Check in with friends and family; social distancing doesn't have to mean radio silence.
  • Check out these top 5 recommended free mindfulness apps.
