And a quick round-up of the others!

In November, Matt exhibited at Living North’s Christmas Fair in York, Crafts in the Pen in Skipton, and at Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn. Oh, and he also did a pop-up van in the Ouseburn in Newcastle to coincide with Ouseburn Open Studios…
PHEW!
It is pretty safe to say that Matt is tired! There’s an awful lot of prep to do before heading to a show, particularly at Christmas, and both Matt and his van, are looking forward to being parked up for a while as we head towards the end of the year and the start of festivities.
It has been great to get back to even more shows this year: things have felt much more ‘normal’ (if that is even a thing now), and it has been so good to get back to meeting people and for people to have the opportunity to meet Matt in person and to see his work.
A massive THANK YOU goes out to all of the shows’ organisers: these events aren’t easy to pull off and many are planned years in advance.

Dates and really important stuff
|
|
Stand by your diaries! Here is our FINAL upcoming show date of 2022:
Durham Christmas Market: 2nd to 4th December
This one is ALWAYS busy and well-attended so our advice is to plan ahead: use the park and ride, wear comfy shoes and bring your wallet – there will be some excellent gifts on offer (and some delightful food/drink….there always is!).

Christmas orders...there's still time!
|
|
The gallery will remain open on Mondays and Thursdays until Monday 19th December. As always, visitors are warmly welcomed, but it is a good idea to call ahead to check that Matt is definitely in...children, pets and vehicles sometimes like to throw a spanner in the works!
Our contact details can be found using the link below.

You can of course also visit us virtually through Matt's website. However, please note the final date for guaranteed UK postage for Christmas will be Monday 12th December.
Usually, we run this date later, but with postal strikes, we're sure you won't want to risk it! We will of course work to meet any orders after this date where humanly possible, but unfortunately we won't be able to guarantee any orders that require postage.

What do artists do all day?

#12: warm themselves by the fire with a drink in hand as they slowly slide towards oblivion.
What a year!
Times are turbulent, and the period of stability that many small businesses have longed for has once again eluded us. We have continued, finding new ways of operating, but the pressures are real and we are grateful to be here now, writing to you.
None of this, however, would be possible without customers and followers who shop small, who shop local, who shop somewhere other than a faceless warehouse-based distribution service. We thank you from the very bottom of our hearts: with every click, like, follow, share, purchase, email, message, and attendance to a show or fair, you make all of this possible.
We doth our caps to you and raise a festive glass: THANK YOU.
