Reminder of opportunity to comment on updated Draft Proposed Shoreline Management Plan (SMP)
Public comment period continues until January 25, 2019 on draft plan
The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) would like to thank everyone who has provided written comments, to date, on draft documents related to the 2015-2019 work to update the current Shoreline Management Plan (2000).
We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you of the opportunity to review the updated new Draft Proposed Shoreline Management Plan (SMP).
The document was posted for public review and comment on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 and the comment period for this document continues until January 25, 2019.
The PDF document is 2.2 MB in size and contains Executive Summary; Table of Contents; 1. Introduction; 2. Legislative Authority, Policy and Technical Direction for Shoreline Management Planning; 3. Technical Analysis and Description; 4. Shoreline Hazards; 5. Shoreline Management; 6. Engagement for SMP Development; 7. References; and Appendices Titles.
Due to the size of the files, the Appendices are posted separately at abca.ca on the shoreline management plan page. Please download the appendices separately.
A hard copy of the document is also available for inspection at the ABCA administration centre office east of Exeter at 71108 Morrison Line.
The ABCA Board of Directors will receive all written comments, submitted by January 25 for consideration, prior to any decision on the draft plan this year.
Interested people can provide their written comments by email to email@example.com – and are encouraged to put ‘Draft SMP 2018-2019 Review and Comment’ in the subject line. Those people who would like to submit comments by mail are invited to submit written comments by mail to 71108 Morrison Line, RR 3 Exeter, ON N0M 1S5 and to put ‘Draft SMP 2018-2019 Review and Comment’ on the envelope.
