HideAway Haven
HideAway Haven has had the pleasure of hosting some gorgeous couples the last few weeks.  We love it when guests make the most of our facilities and enjoy our breakfasts.  Watching eyes light up when we deliver their breakfast makes us smile.  We had a local couple couple staying with us this weekend.  They wanted a BreakAway without having to drive a far distance and said this was "the shortest trip to Paradise".  As they live in Albany, they have just been relaxing in the common room, getting into the Jacuzzi every night, cooking their own meals and staying in their robes all day.  They said this is "the most relaxed" they have felt in a very long time. Here are some of the dishes they enjoyed.
Many guests ask us to recommend a restaurant to visit during their stay in Albany.  We don't like recommending if we haven't eaten there, so headed off to Joop Thai.  Wow what can we say!! Thai cuisine is known for its balance of flavours and its use of fresh herbs and spices and Joop Thai gets 10/10 from us for flavour, presentation and service.  The meals are so generous and but we were too full to try the amazing dessert menu.  Apparently they don't sell many

Emerge 2011
On Saturday we attended the Inaugral Emerge French Provincial Long Table Dinner,  featuring two local chefs.  We were served local fresh oysters, a variety of canapes, main and a dessert to die for. It was fun watching the chef's at work.  It was a great night!  I bid in my first auction and won a beautiful arrangement of native Wild Flowers, all proceeds supporting  Albany Hospice.

Spring is here!!
We are enjoying the brilliant colours of Spring and this week there was an brillant full moon we enjoyed from our deck.  Birds are busy building their nests.  We even have one being built under our deck. The guests love watching the 32 different variety of birds around the Haven.
