2015 Telstra Business Awards
We have been named as finalists in the 2015 Telstra Business Awards in both the Micro Business and Regional Business Categories. We are really excited to be named among so many prestigious businesses.
Telstra business group managing director Will Irving said the awards reward innovation and celebrate the “unwavering passion” of Australia’s small and medium businesses.
“They have poured their savings into a dream of independence and doing what they love in their own way — and they are doing it exceptionally well,” he said.
The winners will be announced on 7 July, 2015 during a Gala Dinner at the Crown. Please send us your best wishes. Messages of support can be sent to Telstra http://finalists.telstrabusinessawards.com/event/ . These messages will be shown on the big screen during the evening.
HideAway Haven Fundraising Efforts
At HideAway Haven we love being able to support and encourage others to follow their dreams. Nicola at iSail360 is going to sail around the world as part of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. We hosted a 3 course Italian dinner and a Waffle and Bubbles breakfast. We auctioned seats at the table to the highest bidders to raise funds. In total we raised $1,500.00 to help Nicola on her way. Pay it Forward
De'arn, Clare, Tara and Narelle are 4 beautiful sisters. Clare has 4th stage breast cancer and one item on her bucket list was creating special memories with her siblings (sadly her brother was not able to be with them.) Clare has been tireless raising money for fourth stage breast cancer research. You can read her story HERE. Click HERE to see more photos of the special two nights the sisters stayed with us, creating some very special and precious memories. With 21 children between the four of them it did take some planning and organising to spend some time together. We feel blessed that we were able to part of this.
A huge THANK YOU to Oyster Harbour Store for their dinner, Beauty at Saltacious for salt therapy, make up, pedicures and manicures and for giving Clare eyelashes again, Southern Ocean Sailing for a Twilight Cruise and to capture the special memories Lata Photography for the photo shoot. HideAway Haven hosted these beautiful sisters for two nights and served them an Italian dinner.
We celebrated our anniversary with a special lunch at Pepper and Salt in Denmark. Silas is an amazing chef and we were very spoiled with amazing service and food. Pepper and Salt is a place not to be missed when you are in our region.
Our Evening Meals
Our Italian Pasta dish 'Pasta alle Felice' has become very popular. 'Better than Jamie Oliver' 'Full of Fresh Flavours' are some of the guests comments. If you want to enjoy a meal on arrival or during your stay, please order prior to your arrival. No need to drive and find a restaurant. Soup is also available daily. Cheese Board with local market cheeses. We offer local red and white wine or bubbly with dinner.
Sammie Jo is growing up way too fast. She is such a sweetheart and brings smiles and joy to so many of our guests. She loves it when guests feed her treats. She continues to write in her diary, so if you want to keep up to date with her antics the link is HERE. Her favourite time of the day is falling asleep on her Mummy's lap at night, before being tucked safely in her bed at night.
