WE ARE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THAT ONCE AGAIN WE ARE WINNERS!!!!! On Friday night HideAway Haven won the 2012 Albany Chamber of Commerce & Industry Home Based Business Award. This is the category that we were runners up in last year. This means we are now eligible to enter the 2012 GWN Western Australian Regional Small Business Awards at the end of this year.
Every year Lomax Media visits all the entrants and shoots a very short video clip on the businesses. As our Teddies are always such a favourite and were a real hit last year, we stayed with the Teddy theme. So to the music of the Black Eyed Peas song 'It's gonna be a good good night' our Teddies surely did. Here are a couple of photo's. Aren't they gorgeous?
With our very happy Bank Manager
This week we became an accredited cycle friendly business, which means that cyclists are very welcome at HideAway Haven. Together with the facilities we must provide, such as a high carb breakfast, safe storage facilities for the bikes and a repair kit, we also offer the cyclists the opportunity to soak in our Therapeutic Jacuzzi with 39 jets and water saturated with Ozone. They will feel great because the skin absorbs the oxygen as it travels throughout the body leaving them feeling refreshed and revitalised. They can then fall asleep in our luxurious beds 'like sleeping on a cloud' and watch the stars and moon through their window. This is just in time for the official launch of the Munda Biddi Trail. This is a 1,000 km world class, nature based, off road cycling trail through towering eucalyptus forests, scenic river valleys and ancient, unspoiled bushland where you can discover plants and wildlife not found anywhere else in the world. The trail runs between Mundaring and Albany. Check out their webpage...its awesome. We are looking forward to meeting our first cycling guests.
Other winners on the night were Out of Sight Tours an eco friendly tour operator in Denmark. We are now working together to bring to our guests a brand new adventure package 'Out of Sight @ HideAway'. Complete package details will follow. Here is a little teaser of what you could experience.
Willoughby Park Boston Brewery
There is a new dining experience in the Great Southern region. The Boston Brewery, Denmark's first craft brewery is now making a range of four core beers. What an absolutely stunning location. The beers were icy cold and a great variety. We tried the tasting paddle of all the 4 beers before choosing one we liked. We ordered the Salt & Pepper Squid...best we have ever tasted and wood fired olives with Sour Dough. As we love our Pizza we couldn't wait to try their Wood Fired Pizza, Garlic Chilli Prawn, Satay Chicken with Coriander and the special of the day Chicken, Mushroom and Bacon with a delicious tomato sauce base. It didn't disappoint. The base was light and fluffy and the toppings amazing. A bit heavy on the red chilli but they were easily removed. Every second Saturday there is live music. We can't wait to go back!!
