HideAway Haven

We are back from our very quick trip to The Netherlands, to be part of our daughter's wedding.  It was a beautiful day and the bride looked stunning.  We hadn't met the prospective groom before, but after meeting him the couple had our blessing :-).  We had a lovely time in The Netherlands staying with my daughter and her new husband.

We also met my cousin and his wife and stayed with them for a couple of nights.  So awesome meeting family.  We made some day trips to Amsterdam and Utrecht.  We went to the famous Scheveningen Beach.

The flowers and cheeses took our breath away with the variety and prices.  IIf we could purchase flowers and at these prices, HideAway Haven rooms would be full of fresh flowers every day.

We visited Madame Tussaud's and Madurodam to promote our new campaign "Are you in the mood?" to put Albany back on the tourism radar.

Our last day was spent with newly married couple on the boat travelling through the many canals that surround their new home in Almere.  We travelled through a 'sluis' where there was a difference of 8 metres in the water level.  Such fun!!

We were also 'forced' to spend 48 hours in Dubai after a mix up with our return flights.  Once we got over being upset about the forced lay over, we enjoyed what the city had to offer.  Despite the 45 degree heat we had a great time relaxing, shopping and sightseeing.  What a 'big' city.  Customer service is alive and well in Dubai and we came back with some new ideas on how to raise the customer service level at HideAway Haven.

We returned and HideAway Haven was fully booked for the weekend.  It was nice to have others taking care of us while we were away, but we were happy and excited to have our own guests to spoil and pamper again.  It was fun to get back into the kitchen and cook some yummy breakfasts.  Hash Brown, Bacon & Egg Pie and Peach French Toast were on the menu and a refreshing Berry Fruit Breakfast Smoothie.

Spring is almost here, so if you want to enjoy and photograph our beautiful wildflowers book in at HideAway Haven now.

HideAway Haven has a page on facebook http://www.facebook.com/HideAwayHavenAlbany and we recently reached 1,000 fans.  As a thankyou to all our loyal and supportive fans we gave away a free night.  Mary Hamilton-Smith was the lucky winner.  Mary organises tours for women, so this may just come in handy one day.
