I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since our last newsletter. It has been a very busy time at HideAway Haven. We have enjoyed our guests during the school holidays and look foward to welcoming you if you are booked in during the long weekend. We have had a steady stream of enquiries the last 2 weeks and if had 100 rooms we still would have been booked out!
The nice weather has given us the opportunity to do some freshing up. We have been busy restaining HideAway's decking, cedar and furniture. The timber looks vibrant again. We have also purchased new sheets and quilt covers which has given the rooms a new look. The new white robes are appreciated by our guests especially when they get out of the Jacuzzi. We love seeing our guests in their robes in the morning enjoying their coffee.
On a beautiful spring day we visited a friend who has a property in Torbay. Torbay is about a 20 min drive from Albany along the Lower Denmark Road. There are some beautiful beaches in the area and the Bibbulum Track crosses through. We enjoyed a walk and admired the beauty of spring colour.
Many of our guests arrive tired and don't want to find a resturant. We often recommend Jo Joe's pizza which is delivered to the door. Recently we tried a new take-a-way Indian Restaurant 'Saffron'. The food is delicious. A lot of their dishes are cooked in a Tandoori Oven. Great alternative to dining out. We really enjoyed their Naan Bread.
Our son and his partner are leaving for a 2 year trip to Europe. They will spend a couple of weeks with his sister in The Netherlands and then backpack around Europe.
What an awesome experience and opportunity for them. We will miss them dearly. But with Skype, email and facebook we will be able to stay in touch. We went to Joop Thai for our farewell dinner. As usual the food was excellent and the service very attentive. We really enoy the relaxed atmosphere and it is one of the few places where it is BYO and no corkage charge.
