Worker seriously injured after falling into conveyor chute

We have issued an Investigation Information Release about an incident on 10 August 2021 at an open cut mineral mine at Young, NSW that caused serious injuries to a worker. 

The incident at the Thuddungra Mine occurred when a worker fell into a conveyor chute and was almost entirely covered by rocks fed by an adjacent hopper. 

The worker sustained rib fractures and internal injuries. The report is available on our Investigation Reports page.
