Plant design registration
As part of our ongoing regulatory reforms, the Resources Regulator has made significant changes to the way applications for licences, plant design registration and item registration are managed. A centralised processing system has been implemented and a dedicated Mining Authorisations Unit established, along with new procedures.

The Resources Regulator has been communicating these changes at industry forums and has now published three fact sheets on design registration for applicants, designers and design verifiers. The fact sheets provide information on the registration process, what plant needs to be registered and what does not require registration, and the role of designers and design verifiers:
Plant design registration - applicants
Plant design registration - designers
Plant design registration - verifiers
