Take a safety moment - learning from investigations
The animation below illustrates the sequence of events that lead to an incident on 10 August 2017 where a 29-year-old contract worker suffered serious burns to his face, neck, torso and arms when a fire started while he was refuelling a diesel-powered tyre-handler at Mt Arthur Coal’s heavy vehicle refuelling facility.

The Resources Regulator is running a compliance and reporting reforms workshop at Dubbo RSL on Wednesday, 24 October from 9am to 12pm. The workshop will gather feedback, outline the changes, discuss transitional arrangements and keep industry informed about the implementation of the program.

Cobar next stop for small mines health and safety roadshow

The annual small mines health and safety roadshow is coming to Cobar on 11 October.

The roadshow provides information and guidance about hazard management plans, hazard control plans and the process for reporting or notifying the regulator about safety incidents. Analysis of data relating to recent mine safety incidents is also included.

Tomorrow (10 October) is World Mental Health Day and a reminder to us all to check in on a mate. Seeing who's struggling isn't always obvious, but chances are one in three of your mates needs to talk.
