Position Paper released on hazardous chemicals at mines and petroleum sites in NSW
We have recently released a position paper on hazardous chemicals, following a review of our approach to the regulation of hazardous chemicals at mine and petroleum sites.

We will be strengthening our regulatory and compliance approach towards hazardous chemicals, which will be consistent with that applied to the management of prescribed principal hazards.

We will be actively engaging with mine operators on hazardous chemical risk management onsite and supporting industry meet their obligations under work health and safety laws.

Revised fees for practising certificates

Revised fees for practising certificates

Application fees for practising certificates for statutory functions have been revised following a review. The new fees more appropriately reflect cost recovery, resulting in reductions for some categories and implementation of a fee for new practising certificate applications.
