Culinary Courtesan

I’ve revamped and rebooted my podcast a bit, because it needed a fresh touch. What is formally the Pompette Podcast is now The Culinary Courtesan. In the new episode, I talk about one of my favorite cookbooks, My Greek Family Table, by Maria Bendaris. There’s a mini onion pie recipe that is a great savory addition to a menu.   • Penthouse (yes, that Penthouse) is creating a whiskey-tequila hybrid. I get it in the name of aphrodisiacs, but it also sounds like a headache waiting to happen. Not saying it can’t be done, but both spirits would have to be of a certain quality to be mixed together. Which one of you will brave this spirit and report back? 
  • While tequila grows in popularity so does mezcal. Have you noticed that the spirit is everywhere? While tequila is technically a mezcal not all mezcal is tequila. If you haven’t given mezcal a whirl, it’s a good to check it out. There are so many good options on hitting the market. There is bound to be on that you like. Both are interesting spirits on their own or in a cocktail. Perfect additions to your home bar.
