McCormick Wants You To Find Your Summer Hit
July officially kicks off BBQ season. Are you ready? That means gatherings with your favorite people as you sip wine and eat your favorite foods from the grill.
When you get your squad together for good times and good food, don’t forget to find your summer hit. Thanks to McCormick I will be putting together a few playlists for ambience.
McCormick has been a part of my cooking tradition for as long as I can remember. It all started with my mom who is a fabulous cook. In her kitchen cabinet were some of the well known McCormick spices and seasoning such as: Lawry’s Seasoned Salt, Black Pepper, Allspice and Garlic Salt. Then there’s the Yellow Mustard which I know I put on a fair share of burgers when I was growing up. My main go to now is the Old Bay Seasoning. I guess you could say that it’s 50 Shades of McCormick, they always have something for everyone depending on what’s cooking.
Summer calls for sangria. It’s the purrfect summer sipping situation. If you want to turn it up a bit, try a French press sangria. I dig this nifty idea. It will bring out the flavors of the fruit and blend it with the wine. Plus it makes a nice presentation..all bougie and stuff. Great for when you are binging a show, you can have your French press right next to you on the couch. BOOM!
So, Burger King decided to bring back their tacos. The biggest question seems to be “why”. All I keep thinking is how do you mess up a taco? Seems like BK has the answer. The tacos are getting some of the worse reviews. You may want to skip them. If you take one for the team and try one, report back if you survive.
S’mores are a great dessert. Making them can be a bit messy due to the fabulous chocolate and marshmellow goo that makes the treat so delish. There’s a gadget that can help you make s’mores without the mess. Yasss! Long story short, it’s a cage that holds your s’mores in place when you put them in the oven. A little kinky cooking if you please. When you can’t find it at Bed Bath & Beyond, check for the cage on Amazon.
Sorceress On Spirits:
Can you a imaginea robot making your cocktail while you just lay there? The Barsys Robot Bartender is at your service. Well, for about $1,500.00 that is. It’s being called the “Keurig of cocktails”, which I don’t know if that’s good or bad. I have yet to get a good cup of coffee from a Keurig. It’s said that the robot does exact pours and offers automated cocktails. This machine sounds interesting, like it would make a good party trick. Part of me would prefer to make my own drinks, but wouldn't say no to the robot if it was a gift. Hint, hint. 😉
