Hey girl hey!
How are you feeling? I hope that your crown is upright and hanging tight. As for me..busy as a bee, working on some new things. I’ll make announcements as things solidify. Feel free to drop me a line and let me know what’s new with you. I try to keep up with everyone on social media, but as you know there’s so much noise. I may have missed your big announcement or a heartbreak. Talk to me.

The Charm of Cooperstown: Baseball, Spirits & Beer

When April hits, you may notice the smell of hotdogs, beer, and peanuts in the air. That means baseball season has arrived. Going to a game is a fun social outing, even if you aren’t that into the sport.

When I was growing up, I didn’t really like baseball. I thought it was slow and boring. I acquired a taste for it due to the New York Yankees while living in San Francisco, California. The irony is now I live in walking distance to Yankee Stadium.

When tourists come to Gotham they tend to make their way to Yankee Stadium to take pictures even when during off season. If baseball is your thing, there’s another destination in New York that you should make your way to: Cooperstown. You may have heard of the town, because it’s the location for The Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. It’s a must for baseball fans and history buffs.

While the Baseball Hall of Fame is the main reason you will want to go to Cooperstown, there’s more worth checking out like the Farmer’s Museum, Fenimore Art Museum, Brewery Ommegang, and Cooperstown Distillery. Get the full story:>

Kitchen Magick:

  • Grand Marnier is a staple in my home. I try to put it in every cocktail I can. It's also great in baked treats, I mean really! If you want to get very French, whip up a Grand Marnier Soufflé. You might even win someone’s palate (and heart) with this one. Oh la la!
Witch On Wine:
  • Everywhere I turn someone is pumping up the Finger Lakes Wine Region.  I have to admit, it’s well deserved. The region is the perfect getaway whether it’s a romantic situation, hanging with your girl squad, or just because you want some piece and quite. Wineries are doing some exciting things not to mention the sparkling cider, beer, food, and so much more. If you are tired of going to the same ‘ole wine destination, give the Finger Lakes a chance. You won’t be sorry. There are so many nice people waiting to welcome you to the area.  Don’t forget to sip on that Riesling.
  • Need wine suggestions? Stop by my page on Vivino where I'm a featured expert. Maybe it will give you a few ideas for new wines to try. Take your palate on a journey.

Bruja On Beer:

  • Wait a minute…Dunkin Donuts actually has a beer? Don’t know what’s gotten into Dunkin’ lately, but sure have been trying to be all cutting edge. They have teamed up with Harpoon to create a pale ale after a successful run last year of a porter. The beer is inspired by Dunkin’s ice coffee. It’s available on tap and on the East Coast. It’s suggested to pair with chipotle chicken tacos. I’ll take that a step further and say that it sounds like it would perfectly with chicken mole. Just sayin.’

Sorceress On Spirits:

  • Lately tequila has become my bae. I make a wicked margarita if I do say so myself. You may have noticed that the market is flooded with tequila. It can be hard to know if some of them are worth the moolah. My new personal favorite is Los Altos Reposado. It makes a great upscale cocktail. Ever wonder which tequila bartenders dig? It’s good to get their opinion since they tend to get to sip things before they even hit the market.
