Pompette is a newsletter that's curated to help you
live through your senses.
Hey girl hey! I hope that you are enjoying the holidays. It's a good time to celebrate everything that you have accomplished this year. Make sure that you pat yourself on the back for all of your accomplishments no matter how small the victory is. A win is a win babygirl. Cheers! XO
Tipsy Tarot
This week's pairing is with Hennessy's Master Blender's Selection No 3 and the Plant Ally Cards. There is so much power in the flower. The eaux-de-vie used in Master Blender’s Selection No. 3 is not used in any other Hennessy Cognac which makes it unique like every flower. It is the perfect pairing for joie de vivre.

This week’s cards bring in harmony, true feelings, and self-belief.

The purple loosestrife is a flower that brings the vibe of harmony. The question before you is why do you care so much about what people are thinking? Living the life that someone else wants you to live takes you from your truth. In the long run you have to do what works to you or your happiness will be delayed.

The bluebell flower is front and center to remind you that you are blooming. All the hard work that you have put into yourself is paying off.  You may have discovered something about yourself that seems like an “aha moment’ ...run with this "new you" situation.

Last but not least, the sunflower is here to help you believe in yourself. If you don’t encourage yourself who will. Naysayers are always lurking to take you off your game. Keep telling yourself that you rock..if you don’t who else will?

Long story short:
Create harmony within. Don’t tear yourself up over what people think or say about you. Give no f*cks. You are blooming where you are planted. Embrace that and go with it. Keep tooting your own horn. Pat yourself on the back for even the smallest wins. Becoming your own cheerleader guarantees a cheering section for you every day.

Wine & Movie Pairings: Christmas & Crémant

Sparkling wine and movies are such a good pairing. It’s the time of year to binge on cheesy Christmas movies so why not pair them with some Crémant? Bubbles and cheese are always a good way to please.

Crémant is the sparkling wine that you should give some serious love to. Think of it as a sister to Champagne. While it may have fewer bubbles, it will give you feeling of joie de vivre and is more affordable than Champagne.

Get in some Christmas and Crémant with some of my  movie and wine pairings.

The Christmas Prince (Netflix)
I stumbled on this movie last year by accident and really enjoyed.  So, there's a very private Prince that the media wants to more know about. A nosy journalist makes her way into the castle undercover so that she can get the story. Of course the Prince is a charming surprise while the journalist is the one pretending to be someone she isn’t. Will she get her story or sent home empty handed. The struggle is real when there's a hot prince at stake.

Crémant  Pairing: Bailly Lapierre Crémant Réserve Brut
A bottle of Bailly Lapierre Crémant Brut would be dandy with this flick. If you have bougie taste buds these bubbles will make you feel like you are sipping in a palace. Made with four grape varieties, it's well rounded and fresh on the tongue.

A Cinderella Christmas (Pluto TV/Hallmark Channel)
Long story short, there’s a really hot rich guy, Nicholas Karmichael, who’s mom is like why don’t you get married already. Let’s just say that his inheritance is tied to being married. He’s looking for that “special someone,” even though he is a playboy.  Then there is, Angie Wells, who planned a sexy soiree for him. Nicholas finally notices her at the masked party, but doesn’t know who his mystery woman is. Now you know he has to find her, because he's never met a woman like her before. Will Angie follow her dream of running the business or give in to a playboy? Sip along and see what Angie decides to choose..business or the boy.

Crémant Pairing:  Domaine de Bois Moze
The perfect pairing for this movie is Domaine de Bois Moze. A sexy bottle of bubbly that will remind you of Champagne. The 100% Chenin Blanc wine has aromas of peach, citrus, and spice. It goes great while watching this modern flip of a classic tale.

Witch On Wine:

Mulled wine is the kinda libation that will give you the feels . It makes your home smell all holiday-ish. Plus it makes you feel all warm and happy inside. If you have an Instant Pot it's so easy to make. By the time you blink the wine is ready to go. If you have Crock-Pot instead you can still get your mulled on, it will take s little bit longer.

Travel:

Are you itching to go to Europe? There are about several cities in Europe that are under the radar that you may should check out. Paris and London tend to be at the top of everyone’s list. But how about Budapest, known for their beer and good food. Then there is Strasbourg, France which is stunning, you could even hit Alsace. Take a chance and go somewhere that could give you a new perspective.

Have you ever wanted to own your own B&B in Australia? The owners of the historic Bethungra Shirley Hotel are giving it away for the cost of the application fee of only $100 ( $73 US).  The place is considered a great space for a B&B, wedding venue, pub, restaurant, cafe, open garden or high tea. If you want to get throw your hat into the ring, check out their page. It could be your dream come true.

Kitchen Magick:

Feeling blue, well girl get to baking! According to a study from New Zealand, baking is good for well-being. I’ll high five to that. I don’t know about you, but a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies always puts a smile on my face. Now we know why Martha Stewart is always in a good mood. Though her pile of money probably gives her feels as well.
