Must read
This month we host an article by FRH member Marcus Van der Meulen about the restauration of the church of Kleine Wetsinge, Netherlands. The restoration project by Jelle de Jong Architects has also won the "BNA Best Building Award", in the category livability and social cohesion. According to the jury, "The reuse of church of Klein Wetsinge into a multifunctional centre is a tremendous example how to, with respect for the cultural value, realise a new function". Our heartfelt congratulations!

The FRH Biennial conference is fast approaching
On November 9-11, 2016, experts and policy makers from across Europe will gather in Vicenza, Italy, for the FRH Biennial Conference. This year the theme of our conference is "Tourists, Travellers and Pilgrims: Encountering Religious Heritage in Today’s Europe". More information regarding registration will be posted as soon as it is available.

2nd EuropeTour Meeting
In April EuropeTour experts from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany Italy, Romania and Spain met in Waidhofen in order to discuss results from the EuropeTour survey so as to establish training modules for stakeholders in cultural tourism. As you know, FRH conducted the survey and prepared a first analysis of the results with country specific input of all partners and their respective regions. The main outcomes will be published soon!

Thanks for the vital role that you play in protecting religious heritage.
Stay connected,
