Welcome to the November newsletter!
This month's feature article addresses the boom in monastic cooperatives in Germany and explores why operating as a monastic cooperative can ensure the survival of historic monasteries.
In our FRH and members' news section, we invite you on a visual journey through European and world religious heritage with the 9 outstanding photographs of the winner and finalists of the FRH Photo and Video Competition 2022.
We also invite you to meet the winners of the National Churches Trust Awards, join PARCUM's new knowledge network on religious textiles, learn about the potential of heritage to promote intercultural dialogue in an interview with Todd Weir, Director of the Centre for Religion and Heritage (FRH member) at the University of Groningen, and read about the recent publication "Regenerating Cultural Religious Heritage: Intercultural dialogue on places of religion and rituals".
Don't miss our online F2F meeting on 17 December in which our new member the Community of Lithuanian Pilgrims will introduce us to the Lithuanian sacred heritage. On another note, our Biennial Conference 2023 will open registration soon.
At the international level, we examine the key points of the EU report "Strengthening Cultural Heritage Resilience for Climate Change", encourage you to read and share the Climate Heritage Manifesto recently presented at the COP27 meeting in Egypt, remind you that this is the last week to apply for the European Heritage Awards 2023.
We conclude by encouraging you to discover the Places of worship that revolutionised architecture in our Religiana section.
See you next month!
