Professor Amy Barrett, ’97 J.D., Nominated to Court of Appeals
for the 7th Circuit

Amy Coney Barrett, Diane and M.O. Miller, II Research Chair in Law and Professor of Law, was nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit by President Donald Trump. “Amy is an outstanding professor, scholar, and colleague,” said Nell Jessup Newton, Joseph A. Matson Dean and Professor of Law at Notre Dame Law School. “She will be an excellent judge.” Read More

Michael K. Addo Selected as Director of London Global Gateway Law Program

Notre Dame Law School has selected Michael K. Addo to be director of the London Global Gateway Law Program. He will start July 1. Addo comes to Notre Dame from the University of Exeter as an international law and human rights specialist with more than 25 years of experience in research, teaching, and policy advice. Read More
Robert L. Jones Selected for ND Faculty Social Justice Award

Robert L. Jones, a clinical professor of law and associate dean for experiential programs at Notre Dame Law School, has been selected to receive this year’s Rev. William A. Toohey, C.S.C., Award for Social Justice. The University of Notre Dame presents the award each year to a faculty member who has shown dedication to teaching and research that emphasize the social-justice dimension of the Gospel in an exemplary way. Douglass Cassel to Receive ND Faculty Award for Peace and Human Rights

Douglass Cassel, a professor of law and Notre Dame Presidential Fellow at Notre Dame Law School, has been selected to receive the 2017 Grenville Clark Award. The University of Notre Dame presents the award annually to a faculty member or administrator whose voluntary activities serve to advance the cause of peace and human rights. Read More
ND Law School Remembers Judge John T. Noonan, Jr.

Notre Dame Law School Memorialized John T. Noonan, Jr., with a Mass in his memory at St. Thomas More Chapel. Noonan, who passed away last month at the age of 90, was influential as a professor, scholar, and judge, and a leader in relating Catholic theology to the law. Read More
NDLS Program on Church, State & Society Awards Summer Fellowships

Lauren Andrini, Margo Borders, Catherine Gawron, and Robert Sikorski, all 1Ls, have each received a $10,000 fellowship award from the Notre Dame Law School’s Program on Church, State & Society to work for a religious institution in a legal capacity this summer.
