Emergency Don't Frack Maryland Rally

Thursday, April 2, noon
Lawyers’ Mall, 100 State Circle, Annapolis

The House of Delegates voted 93 to 45 —  a bipartisan, veto-proof margin — to set a three-year moratorium on fracking for shale gas in our state. Stand with Western Marylanders this Thursday to call on our senators to pass this bill.
Urgent : If you live in District 9 (find out here), please urge  Sen. Bates on the key Senate Education, Health & Environmental Affairs Committee to support the long-term moratorium. For other districts: Please urge your state senator to protect Maryland from fracking.

Global Day of Action Against Fast Track
Saturday, April 18
Join communities around the nation to help derail "fast track" legislation that would push through the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), corporate power grabs disguised as trade deals. Details here. Sign up here

From May 21-29, Beyond Extreme Energy is heading back to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission building on First Street in Washington. FERC says its mission is to provide safe, efficient, sustainable energy for the country. It is failing on all counts. Instead, communities around the nation are fighting compressor stations, pipelines and export facilities. FERC should make decisions based on what’s best for all of us instead of the fracked-gas industry. Details and sign up here.
