Forward on Climate Rally

Sunday,  Feb. 17,  noon in DC - The largest climate demonstration in U.S. history is happening Sunday on the National Mall in D.C. Please join us. This is a big one -- not just numerically, but strategically.  President Obama said in his inaugural address, "We will respond to the threat of climate change, knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations."
His first big decision should be to reject the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, but he also must take bold action to limit carbon pollution and move beyond coal and natural gas. At this rally, we must apply the pressure that will allow the president to show strong leadership on our climate crisis.
Info and signup:  More info here. Rally partners here. See flier here. BE THERE!

Email  to join carpools from Howard County to metro into DC, and include your name and cell number to make sure we can get you the latest info. Carpools from Columbia will meet at the Broken Land Parkway Park and Ride, WEST Side; leave at 10 am and drive to metro.

Bus from Columbia (Howard Co) leaves at 10:30 am from Broken Land Parkway Park and Ride, WEST Side - Cost $20. Details HERE on the Howard County bus: must purchase tickets to guarantee spot. See this and other Sierra Club buses ($20 ticket) listed under Forward on Climate at .  Rideshare info here.
