Upcoming Events

Support a Fracking Moratorium in MD
If we want a moratorium on fracking, we must show up in Annapolis. A big crowd will show that we want more studies, not a rush to drilling. We will show that we want safeguards for our water, land, air and climate.  We will have carpools to these events:
  • Tuesday, Feb. 26:  A press conference at Lawyer’s Mall is planned at 11:30 a.m., followed by hearings before the state Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs (EHEA) Committee at 1 p.m. Info here.
  • Friday, March 8: Hearings at 1 p.m. before the state House Environmental Matters Committee (Howard County Delegate James Malone is vice chair and Liz Bobo is a member). More info here.
  • Wednesday, March 13, 10 a.m. – noon:  If you can go to only one event to stop fracking, THIS IS IT! Marylanders from across the state will meet at Lawyer’s Mall in Annapolis for a huge rally to demand protections against fracking. We must speak louder than the natural gas industry’s money. RSVP here.
