Move offshore wind forward in MD
Maryland is poised to be a leader in offshore wind in the U.S. In 2013, our state passed the Offshore Wind Act, allowing offshore wind development. The Public Service Commission needs to approve an offshore wind proposal this year that meets the law’s requirements so Maryland is not left behind.
Trail heads

Greg and Anna, our friends from the Walk For Our Grandchildren, have been hiking the Appalachian Trail to raise awareness and $ for Preservation, Not Pipelines. Anna had to head home because of injuries, but her father presses on. Pledge a penny a mile here. Follow along on Facebook here. Back story here.
#SOS for #WeCovePoint

Hogan to order a full safety study for the fracked-gas liquefaction and export facility being built in Cove Point within a couple miles of 2,365 homes, 19 daycare centers, three churches, two schools, and two shopping centers.

Maryland has been a strong and progressive leader in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), a partnership between our state and eight other Northeastern states. We need to act now to lock in critical updates. Your input is critical. A stronger Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI)  with 40 percent economy-wide carbon reductions will create thousands of jobs, save electric customers money, all while protecting Marylanders health and the environment.
Read here and here why protecting RGGI is so important to you and Maryland.
