 Momentum is building

HoCo Climate Change is among more than 100 organizations calling for a long-term fracking moratorium. Click here to view the position statement and list of organizations. Try to attend one or both committee hearings for the moratorium bills:
Tuesday, March 3, 1 p.m., Senate bill 409
Wednesday, March 11, 1 p.m., House bill 449
All of District 13's delegation have signed on as bill co-sponsors for the moratorium - Sen. Guy Guzzone and Delegates Shane Pendergrass, Frank Turner and Vanessa Atterbeary as well as District 12 Delegates Clarence Lam, Terri Hill and Eric Ebersole. Please thank them.
Please urge Delegate Flanagan (District 9B), Delegates Trent Kittleman and Warren Miller (9A), Sen. Gail Bates (District 9) and Sen. Edward Kasemeyer (District 12) to support the long-term fracking moratorium.
Fracking harms health, property values, tourism, farms, pets, air, water and climate. Fracking has something for people of all political persuasions to oppose. Please note that a bill first must be voted out of its originating committee. Delegate Flanagan is on the key House Environment and Transportation Committee, and Sen. Bates is on the key Senate Education, Health and Environmental Afrairs Committee. Please contact them.
