Dwelling in the Good News of the Great Story

Hi <<First Name>>,

If you're new to Speakeasy, welcome! If you've been around for awhile, welcome back.

Many people think of the Bible as a confused mixture of entries, episodes, characters, and commands.

Sixty-six books, written by some thirty authors, scattered over a period of roughly 1,500 years, including virtually every genre under the sun.

Clearly, Scripture consists of many parts. Yet it communicates one grand story, the drama of redemption. When we understand this story and find our place within it, it brings us unparalleled purpose and hope.

Dillon Thorton's Long Story Short shares a unique and accessible telling of one of the most enduring narratives in human history. Request this book if you'd like to visit Scripture afresh.

Praise for Long Story Short

“In an age that sees reality as matter in motion, nothing is more nourishing to meaning-starved souls than story. Long Story Short helps disciples see themselves as story dwellers of the Bible, the greatest story ever told. . . . To indwell this story is to wake up to the reality of who we truly are.”

Kevin J. Vanhoozer, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School

“Christians should never tire of hearing the Great Story of Scripture told and retold, again and again. In his new book, Long Story Short, pastor-theologian Dillon T. Thornton has done just that—only with the added benefit of brilliantly capturing the essential message of all sixty-six books of the Bible in a little book you can get through in a few evenings. But don’t hurry through this slender volume. Dwell in it—and let its message dwell in you. Highly recommended!”

Todd Wilson, Cofounder & President, The Center for Pastor Theologians
