"Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD,
You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is too high, I cannot attain to it..."
Fundraising for Guatemala
Mike and I are blessed to report that so far, $1250 has been donated toward our trip to Guatemala. A big thanks to those who have donated to our ministry. We are very grateful.
Read below, for information about a fundraising dinner we are co-sponsoring with Susan Blount, on Sunday, September 28th in Central Maine. We would love to see you there! Keep reading.
Mike and I just hosted our first Wayside Travel Club
couple overnight in our new home. Wayside is a club for Christians who wish to open their homes to other Christian travelers.
What a blessing to share stories of God's faithfulness with new friends passing through Central Maine on their way to Canada.
"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." Galatians 6:10 KJV
Have you ever considered opening your home to Christians? It's a great way to travel and host other couples or families. Simply click here
for information about how you, too, can be blessed by rich fellowship, while helping Christians. (If you sign up, please let Wayside know that Paulie & Mike Heath sent you.)
This year I am especially aware of how God goes before us, and is unfolding His plan for our lives, one step at a time; even when we are unaware of all that He is doing.
Last winter while traveling to minister down south, Mike and I stayed with this same Christian couple who just slept at our house. At the time, we asked them to pray with us about my mom's living situation. As you may know, God answered our prayers, and opened a door for us to move to Chelsea, Maine, where we are renovating an in-law suite for Mom. We were blessed to serve this family, and they were blessed to see God answer our prayers.
This morning, the husband came into our kitchen with a copy of "Prison to Praise." Written decades ago, this compact paperback encourages people to "Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you!" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I was blessed to hear a specific testimony of how God solved a problem in our guest's life, when he chose to be joyful, pray and give thanks in the midst of a trial. He continued to give thanks even while he had no solution to his dilemma. One day out of desperation, he cried out to God, begging him for an answer. God heard and answered his prayer. That day the 'logjam' was broken, remarkably!
God seems to revel in solving problems in ways that man cannot even imagine.
Psalm 139:4-6 says, "Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O LORD, You know it all. You have enclosed me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it..."
Isn't God great?! Write to us, and share your story of His greatness. We want to rejoice with you!

A young blonde girl in her late teens, wanting to earn some extra money for the summer, decided to hire herself out as a "handy woman" and started canvassing a nearby well-to-do neighborhood. She went to the front door of the first house and asked the owner if he had any odd jobs for her to do.
"Well, I guess I could use somebody to paint the porch,"
he said. "How much will you charge me?"
Delighted, the girl quickly responded, "How about $50?"
The man agreed and told her that the paint, brushes and everything she would need were in the garage.
The man's wife, hearing the conversation, said to her husband, "Does she realize that our porch goes ALL the way around the house?"
"That's a bit cynical, isn't it?
" he responded.
The wife replied, "You're right. I guess I'm starting to believe all those dumb blonde jokes."
A few hours later the blonde came to the door to collect her money..
"You're finished already??
" the startled husband asked.
" the blonde replied, "and I even had paint left over, so I gave it two coats."
Impressed, the man reached into his pocket for the $50 and handed it to her along with a $10 tip.
," the blonde said, "And, by the way, it's not a Porch, it's an Audi."
