We want you to become a PROJECT FUTURES Challenger in 2012!
SMH Half Marathon, 21km, 20 May
City to Surf, 14km, 12 August
Who Are We?
PROJECT FUTURES is a not for profit organisation run by a passionate network of socially engaged professionals. Since our establishment in 2009, we have raised over $450,000 to fund programs dedicated to combating sex trafficking in Australia and South-East Asia. The money raised contributes to funding rescue, recovery, education and reintegration of victims, as well as advocacy for the cause.
Human trafficking is now the second largest organised crime in the world and has overtaken drug trafficking. Within the next year, 2-4 million young women and children will be sold into sexual slavery. They are sold for as little as $50 and some are as young as 5 years old. Human trafficking is also an Australian issue and in 2010 PROJECT FUTURES began working with the Salvation Army and the Red Cross to help victims of trafficking within Australia. Our mission is to educate and inspire our generation to get involved, and use their skills and talents to end human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
What is a PF Challenger?
In 2012 we have created an exciting initiative that we hope will benefit our cause by raising awareness and funds in a fun and challenging way.
