CPO and Nederburg New Year's Eve magic
The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra with its charming resident conductor Brandon Phillips once more will be at Nederburg Wine Farm in Paarl to welcome in the New Year. Celebrating with the CPO will be Brandon October and Melanie Scholtz, two of South Africa’s iconic singers, both of whom have sung with the CPO before. Goitsemang Lehobye (soprano) and Given Nkosi (tenor) will also add romance and charm. New to the line-up is Sterling EQ, an all-woman cross-over ensemble setting amplified instruments on fire. The master of ceremonies this year will be Sue Pyler, RSG’s popular announcer. With them on the stage, the CPO will deliver a night of laid-back classics, a romantic evening under the stars, lots of old style charm and elegance. Read more.
