Secondly - Visit the Raymond 5th Annual Festival of Trees
happening at New Life Church
, this afternoon through Sunday at 1pm. Raymond Coalition for Youth sponsored a "Family Fun" themed tree, jam-packed with some fun family games, gift certificates and more. Everything you need to spend quality time with your family, laughing and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Family Fun is a protective factor for everyone, and is a big part of Prevention. Making positive healthy choices and having fun without the use of substances is a way to help your family stay healthy and happy.
Money raised from raffle tickets for the event go directly back into the community, to help bring Christmas to families and seniors in need here in our community. Purchasing raffle tickets not only gives you chances to win a tree but to contribute to others who will greatly appreciate the help especially at this time of year which can be difficult for many people on many levels.
We thank you for considering these opportunities to participate in Giving this Christmas season while benefiting our community!
PS - Next Thursday is our final meeting of 2019, and the decade! December 12th, 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the Raymond Baptist Church.
Our guest will be Danielle from Aware Recovery
to talk about the impact of our words when we are with young children in regard to addiction, treatment, and recovery. 14,000 children are impacted by the opioid crisis. They are in our schools, doctors’ offices, and community. They have loved ones who could be struggling with addiction or embracing recovery. The words we use when we talk with these children are important. We hope you will join us for this important discussion.
Have a great holiday weekend and please remember, if you or a loved one are struggling with substance misuse and looking for treatment or recovery support please call 211, and please feel free to look at our Resources
pages on our website.
