You can meet the Yarra Riverkeepers; take a history/nature walk with local historian Meyer Eidelson or go bird spotting for some of the parks's 140 bird species with bird expert and photographer Andrew McCutcheon. EcoCentre News - more award nominations!
This week we received the good news that we've made the finals of the 2014 Premier's Sustainability Awards. EcoCentre is one of 3 finalists in the Cleaner Yarra and Bay category, which recognises leadership, commitment and excellence in protecting and / or enhancing the health of the Bay and its waterways. We've also been nominated for the Victorian Coast Care Awards for Excellence, with finalists announced later in the month.

Despite a naughty appendix assailing the Schools Team's fearless leader this month, the team has been kicking goals as usual. Bronnie has made nesting boxes with Tomorrows Leaders for Sustainability at Firbank Grammar; the whole team led a mega, school excursion of Haileybury year 6s to West Beach and Andrea and April both celebrated being published in a keynote education journal. All of our educators are currently gearing up for the 9th annual Sustainable School Awards on 11 September. We're grateful to major sponsors City of Bayside, City of Port Phillip and ERM for their ongoing support.
