Awakening Compassionate Mind:
Compassion & the Practice of Chenrezig

Generating compassion for oneself and others can help open the heart, curb negative actions, and reduce ego-clinging. These teachings will provide in-depth guidance on how to bring compassion to your daily life, and how to cultivate compassion through the visualization and mantra practice of Chenrezig (Sanskrit: Avalokiteshvara).

- Saturday afternoon, August 13, 1-5pm: Transmission of the visualization practice of the Bodhisattva Chenrezig (in-person only)
- Sunday morning, August 14, 10:30am-12:30pm: How to practice compassion (also available online via this link)
- Sunday afternoon August 14, 1-3pm: Guided Chenrezig practice, Q&A (in-person only)

Suggested Donations:
- $30 per day
- $60 for the entire program
- A voluntary donation to support the teacher can be made separately.

Our regular weekly meetings have transitioned to and online format, though the schedule is the same as always:
Sunday Mornings: Mediation and Dharma Teachings with Rachel Parrish
- 10:30am-11am: Online meditation with instruction
- 11am-11:30am: Open Q&A and discussion
- 11:30am-12:00pm: Online teaching
Sunday Afternoons: Buddhist Parenting Group with Annie Heckman
- Informal gathering to discuss parenting from a Buddhist perspective
- meets at 12pm, immediately after the Sunday morning program
Tuesday Evenings: Meditation and Book Group with Brad Reeg
- 7:30pm — Online session opens
- 7:40pm sharp — Sitting Meditation
- 8:00pm - 9:00pm — Reading & Discussion Group
Suggested donations
All programs are offered for free, with suggested generosity to support future students.
- Standard: $15 per session
- Sponsor: $25 per session
- No one turned away for lack of funds.
