     2013 年 3 月 March 2013                                                                                                                                第3 期 Issue 3
March is Epilepsy Awareness Month in Hong Kong! We are Painting the       Town Purple for Epilepsy!
For the second year, Enlighten- Action for Epilepsy is promoting the message that "Purple is for epilepsy" and inviting the         Kong community to participate in this campaign by getting involved with our various events and getting behind our                     supporters!

A massive thank you to all our supporters who have helped us raise awareness through out March.  Their support is invaluable in reaching out to as many people as possible in Hong Kong.

March 26 is Purple Day, the global day for epilepsy awareness.

Take part and have some fun!

Why not enjoy a purple cocktail and canapes at Cicada, Soho for just $100 on the door?
Or perhaps buy discounted purple and lavender products from the Candle Company?
Treat yourself to Grand Hyatt Chocolatier's "Ellie the Epiphant" inspired sweet creations or
Visit the Charterhouse Hotel for special discounts at the Gazebo Restaurant and the Champs Bar!
For those who love trivia and quizzes how about joining the McSorley's quiz night on March 27.. everyone welcome!

There are lots of people supporting us during March.

We are so very grateful to Paul Niel who is really going to extremes to raise donations for Enlighten. Paul is undertaking a 9 week expedition to climb Mt Everest and Lhotse,  living in a small tent for two months at very high altitudes and enduring minus temperatures and less than 30% oxygen!  Not for the faint hearted!
If you would like to support Paul in his endeavours please go to
www.simplygiving.com/Pauloneverest
. All funds raised go to Enlighten.

Our long standing volunteer, Bill Feiss organised a 'Bill goes nuts' bash at the Island Bar on Lamma Island.  Everyone had a great time and Bill raised not only epilepsy awareness but also very welcome donations too! A great big thank you to Bill!

A big thank you must also be made to Colleen Osborne and her team who ran the Lantau Beer Dash bedecked in purple tutus and wigs!  An exhausting way to raise epilepsy awareness on Lantau! Thank you team for your support!

There is lots going on.. join the purple party!
