The Tewsletter

Issue #11

Good job, everyone. We made it to #11! I can't believe I give this shit away for free. I'd like to say it's been an uneventful month, but there were several events. The world, in general has been a pile of turds for the last few weeks, but the weather's been nice. What a cool trade-off.

I went to Bonnaroo this past weekend. I wasn't performing, my girlfriend has a cool job, and she had to be there, so I went along for the ride. We drove there from New York. It's like, way too far to drive, but you're only thirty-five once so whatever. That was my first destination festival. I never did that sort of thing when I was younger because I used to be way more boring and also broke. It was probably for the better. If I'd gone to Bonnaroo in my twenties, it inevitably would've started an obsession of me going to every festival ever. Then I would've bought a tent and some devil sticks, and you wouldn't be reading this newsletter right now because I would've been too high to start comedy.

I was in a great mood the whole time I was there, which I know is the inherent purpose of a festival, but I was trying to put my finger on exactly why. I think there's something about being outside and being dirty and drinking cheap beer that is very comfortable for me. I should really get out of this overcrowded city and go live in a trailer park and collect social security or something. But seeing as that's my most realistic option for retirement, I'm going to have to wait a few more decades to enjoy that life.

I don't have anything cool to announce or promote this month, so just appreciate this Tewsletter for what it is: a thing you keep forgetting you signed up for, but sort of enjoy anyway. Thanks for reading, everyone!
