Mortified Chicago Presents
“Valentine Shmalentine”

Mortified Chicago presents “Valentine Shmalentine” at Mayne Stage, and you’re invited! Join CWHC for a V-Day evening filled with tales of lost love found, obsession, coming out, letters to her...(and her mom!), and soap opera-style drama! Get your picture taken with your one, true love (or your favorite stuffed animal) in the free booth courtesy of Smilebooth! Mayne Stage will be offering Valentine’s Day specialty drinks and tastings by local brewery 5 Rabbit Cervercería and FEW Spirits!

Mortified stars everyday people reading aloud their most embarrassing, pathetic and private teenage diary entries, poems, love letters, lyrics, and locker notes in front of total strangers. Witness "personal redemption through public humiliation" in a refreshing show that is equal parts comedic, cathartic, and voyeuristic. Don’t miss the largest and longest running project of its kind featuring a cast of Chicago's bravest souls. Share the shame.
When: Saturday, February 14th, at 6:00pm and 9:00pm
Where: Mayne Stage, 1330 West Morse Avenue
Cost: $25 (service fee included)
Order your tickets today! Tickets are available for purchase here. A portion of the proceeds will benefit CWHC. Happy Shamlentine’s Day!

Qigong Series: Overcoming Anxiety and Panic, A Natural Approach

CWHC is thrilled to offer a four-class Qigong series, in collaboration with instructor Larry Stoler, PhD, of Budding Spring Healing. If you are dealing with fear, anxiety, and panic and are looking for a natural, non-pharmaceutical approach to overcoming these problems and becoming more confident, this program is for you.

The series is based on ancient healing principles of Chinese Medicine for balancing overall functioning and will include practicing Qigong energy exercises, education about foods for healing, and an overview of the deeper causes of anxiety as understood from this time-tested approach.

When: Wednesdays January 21st, January 28th, February 4th, and February 11th, from 7:00pm-8:00pm
Where: CWHC, 1025 West Sunnyside Avenue, Suite 201
Cost: Sliding Scale, $100-$60. Payment for the four-class series is due at the first class.
