Megan Selby: Award-Winning Educator

One of our amazing Health Educators, Megan Selby, was honored with a Community Based Partnership Award from the Girl Friends Leadership Institute at A Long Walk Home last month. Pictured above is the award presented to her at the ceremony on July 27th.

Megan's ability to connect with students and engage their curiosity surrounding women's health is a testament to the strength of our entire Outreach & Education Team, which works tirelessly to bring comprehensive, empowering, and medically accurate health education to youth all across Chicago.

We are so proud to have Megan on our team!

New Fiscal Year, Same Sliding Scale

August 31 is the end of CWHC's 2016 Fiscal Year. We're gratified to look back on the past fiscal year knowing we're providing better care than ever, still with our clients at the center and still on a sliding scale.

A recent client wrote: "Someone literally will hold your hand here." Consider donating today to help provide our kind of care for even more clients in the fiscal year ahead.

Welcome, New Counseling Interns!

CWHC extends a warm welcome to our new counseling interns: Cathy, Jane, Keren, Mary, and Susan! Our interns began in July and will be here until next July.

Counseling interns are essential to the mental health services at CWHC. We're thrilled to have such a fantastic team to work with and get to know in the coming year, and are confident that our clients will feel the same.

Meet Our Marathon Team Member: Ken!

Either listen to music or chat-along with my fellow runners.

What do you do when you aren’t running?

CWHC at Pitchfork!

2016 was another great year of volunteering and spreading feminist spirit at Pitchfork Music Festival. This year, we were thrilled to collaborate with Between Friends and Rape Victim Advocates to create a collaborative art piece, pictured here, outlining what fun and consent look like at music festivals. We also had a great time giving out free condoms and lube, playing Sex Ed Roulette, making pronoun stickers, and taking pictures with our vulva costumes! Thanks to all our volunteers who helped represent CWHC at the festival!

Join Our Board!

CWHC is excited to invite passionate, committed feminists to apply for our Board of Directors!
