Dear <<First Name>>,
When I started teaching 42 years ago, I figured it would end up being like driving a car. After a while, you just do it without thinking – it becomes second nature. Daily, I'm looking for ideas to engage the students and to give them the foundation they will need in life academically and spiritually. My final year of teaching includes Algebra 1, Geometry, Computer Programming, 10th grade Bible (Spiritual Formations and the Life of Christ). Beckie and I also teach an elementary English class for children at our church each week.
Beckie gets lots of baby time 4 days per week watching a 4-month-old for a Morrison couple.

Morrison's will have a "Week Without Walls" starting November 12. The freshmen will be on a biology trip, the sophomores will be at an outdoor school, the juniors will be on mission trips (Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines (2), Taiwan) and the seniors will be on split up on those trips as leaders or other approved activities. There are 2 seniors that didn’t get anything approved so I will be working directly with one of them all week. Pray that I can speak into his life in meaningful ways. He has told the school he is planning on leaving at the end of the semester. That will be one of the topics of conversation.

Each year the Junior Class put on a carnival for the children in the Morrison and Village communities. For the last several years it has ended with a fireworks display. Here's a video I shot from our balcony overlooking the school:
