Dear <<First Name>>,
When I was a student and a teacher in Oregon we always looked forward to getting a snow day. We got a day off of school, if it was a good snow we made snow ice cream and went sliding down the steep hills near our house. On the downside someone might have a dead battery or a broken pipe. In which case I call my brother-in-law, Kelly and he deals with it.
Typhoon days in Taiwan aren't quite the same. Typhoon Megi dumped 45 inches of rain in 2 days. We took both days off and though we don't have class it is a lot of work doing clean up and some our our friends have massive damage.
I posted a few pictures and a video.
I also posted the sites the school uses to determine if we need to cancel school on the school's website. I copied it on the left if you are interested.
Thanks for your continued prayers, support and encouragement!
Dwight and Beckie
