2011 Meeting

Maintaining Connectivity for Wildlife and Wildlife Professionals

Our annual meeting is just around the corner, and will be held March
22-25 at the Wesley Inn in Gig Harbor, WA. We will be meeting jointly
with the Washington Chapter of the Wildlife Society and the NW
Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (NWPARC). Check
out our Call for Papers (.pdf) for the schedule, abstract submission guidelines, registration forms, and lodging information. 

Workshops                                                    Telemety
Two workshops will be offered on March 22nd as part of our meeting. Each will require a separate registration. Wildlife Telemetry will take place from 8am till 5pm at The Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma. Details and registration information are available here. A second workshop, Amphibian Inventory and Monitoring Techniques, will be offered on the same day. This workshop will be hosted by the Northwest Partners in Amphibian and ReptileConservation (NWPARC). Details will available on the SNVB website as soon as they are finalized.

Our annual  photography contest will again take place at our meeting and will include the following 5 categories: thematic topic (transboundaries for wildlife and wildlife professionals), wildlife portraits, landscapes and habitats, biologists in action, artistic interpretation. Prizes will be awarded in each category. Photos can be simple prints, mounted or framed and will be on display during the poster session. Winners will be announced at the banquet. Contact Teal Waterstrat with any questions (
