February 2021: Class on OnlineEd

Education on OREF's 2021 form changes is now available on Online Ed! This is the same material as the live webinars but at your own pace and time. This class is FREE with CE credit hours provided. Thank you OnlineEd.

We had thousands of individuals register for our online webinars; thank you again Colleen Gordon from Keller Williams for your continued efforts in helping the Oregon community stay up-to-date!

(For those that attended, we appreciate your patience as we are still sending out certificates.)

New Forms Counsel

We are happy to report that the OREF Forms Committee will be joined by real estate attorney Jeff Davis. Jeff's practice focuses on residential and real estate matters, and he has expertise with administrative law, negotiations, form creations, licensing, and general business management. We are excited to have Jeff available to help the Forms Committee translate complex legal and business concepts into more understandable, legally compliant forms. In addition to assisting OREF with creating and editing OREF forms, Jeff will also be helping OREF with other impending initiatives, answering form questions, and providing additional educational resources.
Jeff is currently with Harris Berne Christensen, LLP – a Portland-based firm specializing in real estate policies and negotiations. Previously, Jeff was RE/MAX Equity Group General Counsel for ten years.

Dotloop customers:

As of January 1st, 2021, Dotloop is no longer an authorized platform for hosting OREF forms.  Dotloop users may complete transactions that, at the end of 2020, were in process in a Dotloop loop using OREF’s 2020 forms, but may not access any blank OREF forms from any Dotloop platform (including templates) in 2021. Dotloop users may place completed OREF forms, acquired through a licensed platform, onto a Dotloop platform for storage or transaction management purposes.
The OREF forms library is a digital product, licensed for use by individual brokers who may access the forms through licensed forms hosts, such as Lone Wolf (zipForms) and SkySlope. OREF requires each licensed forms hosts to demonstrate that their platform contains reasonable protocols and technologies to protect the integrity of the OREF forms library, to prevent modifications to the content of the forms, to limit forms access to only OREF’s currently licensed forms subscribers, and to ensure that only the most accurate and current forms are made available to subscribers.
After a careful and extensive analysis conducted over much of 2020, OREF concluded that Dotloop was not satisfying all of those requirements and was not in a position to satisfy them in 2021. As a result, we were not able to renew our license with Dotloop to host the OREF forms library. We understand this will be frustrating for many loyal Dotloop users, and we continue to dialog with Dotloop about the ability to use evolving technologies to meet these standards in the future.

Renewing in 2021

Many of our Subscribers renewed in January. You may need to update your account in order to renew your forms subscription. We improved the renewal process in 2020, so there are no longer complicated codes for you to copy and paste. We now simply use your Oregon real estate license number:
