Moms, We Love you!

It's time for us to celebrate our mothers on Sunday, May 8th! Mother's Day recognizes mothers, motherhood and maternal bonds in general, as well as the positive contributions that they make to society. Although many Mother's Day celebrations world-wide have quite different origins and traditions, most have now been influenced by the more recent American tradition established by Anna Jarvis, who campaigned for the holiday. Organized by Jarvis, the first official Mother's Day was celebrated at St. Andrew's Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, which now holds the International Mother's Day Shrine.

Cruelty Free Make-Up

We've all heard the saying "drop dead gorgeous", but no one actually has to drop dead in order to make someone else look gorgeous. In a jungle of make-up and with little or no information about where it's from, it's hard to be a conscious costumer. To help enlighten costumers and provide them with the "cruelty free" options, PETA has collected all the brands that are considered "cruelty free" on their website. â€œCruelty-free” means that products were created without cruel, archaic testing on animals. Vegan products are defined as being cruelty-free as well as free of animal-derived ingredients. In PETA's database you can find more than 500 companies that are 100 percent vegan! 2,016 companies have now joined PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies Program, officially confirming that 2016 is #TheYearOfVegan.
