In case you missed this and just in time for Christams take a peak at this short video that will reveal what this emotion is and how you can take practical steps to deal with this emotion differently. Remember, "If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!" So if this is a trap that you fall into, isn't it time to think about taking a different approach? Click here to watch the video that will reveal all:  http://youtu.be/kZFXgIMsW4A

Did You Know this about New Year's Resolutions?

Some of us start thinking about our New Year resolutions now for 2012, but did you know  that these are said to date back to the ancient Babylonians in 4000BC!
In times past, resolutions for the year ahead were "promises made to the gods" - in the hope that the gods might grant favours in return, like a good harvest!

So with that in mind, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful Christmas Season and I hope that you will take action in 2012 to make all your hopes and dreams come true!
With very best wishes,

Maria Furtek
Coping with Stress this Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and for many it can be a stressful time. Try these 3 tips to help you manage the festive season:

1) Breathe - if you feel the stress getting too much, take several nice deep breathes, in through the nose and out through the mouth.

2) Remind yourself to come back and focus on the present moment (mindfulness). Take one minute at a time, don't project about what might happen, stay in the here and now.

3) If it all gets too much, wrap up warm and go for a nice brisk walk. Focus on the environment around you, rather than focusing on your thoughts.
