Creative Retreat adventures in a living museum.

Elsewhere--a living museum set in a former thrift store in downtown Greensboro NC--invites students, collectives, and community groups for creative retreats into a world of things. Groups join Elsewhere's vibrant community of national/international artist residents and local neighbors for adventures and explorations in site-specific practice, collaborative production, extraordinary art and everyday life.

Retreat workshops can include collaborative projects, independent short media works, neighborhood interventions, homesteading lessons, and art theory seminars. Playshops include experimental practices in performance, storytelling, and exchanging that build group dynamics.

Weekend retreats operate from Friday-Sunday (March - November). The program fee--$100 /person for weekends or $50 /person per day/night--includes overnight campspots throughout the museum, full participation in Elsewhere's kitchen commons co-op, and work/playshop participation. Groups are typically composed of 5-20 participants. Longer and shorter adventures also available.
