All the things happening now at Elsewhere

Dear Friends,

As you may know, Elsewhere's Restoration is underway. A milestone as we upfit our historic building for year-round operations, safety, and comfort. This restoration is supported by over 300 people, national and local foundations, individuals and corporations. Together we are breathing health and life into Elsewhere's building.

Unfortunately, as they so often do, our construction project has gone over schedule. This leaves us in position to seek out alternate housing arrangements for our next round of artist residents. All 6 of these brilliant transdisciplinary artists hail from Miami, Florida, and are excited to enrich Greensboro this summer with locally-unprecedented national networks and a different perspective on experimental art. To find out more about each artist, we invite you to visit their websites (provided in the links below).

If you know of any semi-furnished, livable housing options close to downtown Greensboro June 1- July 8, please email ASAP. If you have any ideas, too, let us know! We’re trying really hard to keep all 6 artists under one roof to give them the Elsewhere experience they deserve. Funding is available.

Finally, we will continue to seek for helping hands beyond Miami Goes Elsewhere because completing this restoration isn’t just about fixing holes, it’s about building creativity and collaboration between local and national communities for the next 40 years.

Hope to hear from you soon,
