Elsewhere - 606 S. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC

Join Elsewhere tomorrow, Thursday, October 22 starting at 6pm for the final edition of Artist Talks for the 2015 season. Featuring South Elm Projects artist Colin Kloeker of Works Progress Studio in Minneapolis, MN and resident artists Bronwen Moen from Montreal and Julie Moore from Austin, TX.

Works Progress Studio is an artist-led LLC based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota led by wife-husband Collaborative Directors Shanai Matteson and Colin Kloecker. The studio engages an expansive network of artists, scientists, organizers, and other creative people to realize imaginative public projects rooted in place and purpose. Colin is onsite at Elsewhere through November 11 as part of South Elm Projects.

On First Friday, November 6, Works Progress Studio will dedicate the South Elm Water Bar, a new piece of public furniture that explores the South Elm neighborhood's hydrosocial connection to water in the past, present and future. The Water Bar will be open and serving local tap water all night long, staffed by employees and friends of the City of Greensboro's Water Resource Department. Water Bar is an ongoing itinerant open space for the generation of conversations and connections around the life-sustaining, precarious, communal activity of drinking tap water.

Bronwen Moen is an artist from Montreal, QC. She will be on site through November 11 creating a new project using the museum's collection of material and cultural surplus.

Julie Moore is an artist and performer from Austin, TX. She will also be on site for her residency through November 11.
